The Saint Paul the Apostle Parish School of Religion is part of the educational arm of the parish community, responsible for providing religious instruction (known as catechesis), formation and sacramental preparation to children attending public or non-Catholic private schools. Together we serve between 900 – 1,000 children annually, with the help of several hundred well-trained adult and teen volunteers.
Our textbooks come from Sadlier and have been developed in accord with the Curriculum Framework approved by the membership of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in 2007. They also meet the requirements of the Religion Course of Study implemented by the Diocese of Columbus in 2015. More information on our textbook as well as resources to help parents answer questions at home can be found by visiting Sadlier Religion – We Believe.
Weather Cancellation Policy
If any Westerville City schools have evening activities for the day, PSR classes for that day will be open as scheduled. Should a late storm arrive and Westerville City schools dismiss early, PSR classes will be cancelled. If the City of Westerville and/or Delaware County declares a Level Two Snow Emergency, PSR classes and activities are cancelled for that day. Families residing in neighboring public school districts (Worthington, Olentangy, Big Walnut, Columbus City, etc.) should exercise their best possible judgment in coming to class if PSR classes are open. Please contact the PSR Office if your child cannot attend class due to weather related issues.
