Lay Ministers

These are necessary and vital ministries of our parish.  Prayerful and serious consideration should be given before a commitment of your time and talent is made. To participate, you must be a practicing and registered Catholic. Training sessions are held at various times during the year.

Altar Servers

Altar Servers assist the Priest at Masses. Boys or girls interested in serving must be in the sixth grade or older. Extraordinary Ministers of the Holy Eucharist

Extraordinary Ministers of the Holy Eucharistic assist in the serving of Holy Communion under both species at Mass. Additionally, Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist take communion to Catholics in the retirement centers, nursing homes and private homes. Lectors are responsible for proclaiming the first and second readings at Mass in addition to reading the Announcements and the General Intercessions (in the absence of a Deacon). For more information, contact Deacon Tom Barford at 614.216.2109.

Sacristans assist on Saturdays and Sundays in preparing for Mass.  Please contact Tom Gray at either or 614.313.4547 for more information.


Ushers welcome everyone who attends Mass at St. Paul on a weekend, help in taking up the collection, and perform a variety of other tasks to assist in the celebration of Mass.  For more information, contact Ben Dolcich at or 614.325.1452.

Collection Counters

Collection Counter 2017-2018 Updated Schedule

Teams of five or six adult volunteers count the weekend offertory assist on Sundays after the 9:00 a.m. Mass until approximately 1:00 p.m. Volunteers work on teams that are scheduled approximately three to four times a year. If you would like to volunteer, please call the Parish Office at 614.882.2109.
